Very cool! What about collectors? Can they participate to show their favorite artists?

No collectors, sorry. Although that is a really interesting idea! hmmm. But certainly you could share the news with artists you collect….

Cool idea. I like art to be exhibited in homes or in ways that attach themselves to culture at large. I like to think of art as part of the greater social realm, not a compartmentalized scene distinct from it. Furthermore, if the home is partly furnished, it would also make interesting viewing if the art was not clearly distinguished. For example, a conceptual piece made of a pile of boxes may be read as a take on consumer society, or just a pile of boxes that you didn’t have time to throw out. Without the gallery context validating it, the art really needs to stand on its own merits.
Anyway, hope you, or someone else, makes a photosynth of the work to preserve it and share it with others around the world.

Chad, thank you so much for your comment. I will definitely document everything extensively. You certainly hit on some things that are very interesting to me. I want to explore ways for art to be a part of people’s lives and for them to have meaningful experiences with it – especially contemporary art. Also, I want to work outside of any entrenched hierarchies and established value paradigms. I want to liberate both artist and art works.
